"Research- Create - Innovate" (2nd Cycle) [15/3/2019]


The main objective of the Single RTDI State Aid Action "RESEARCH - CREATE - INNOVATE" is to bring together research & innovation with entrepreneurship and to enhance competitiveness, productivity and extroversion of companies to international markets, with a view to transitioning to quality innovative entrepreneurship and increase the domestic added value.

The 2nd Cycle of the Single
RTDI State Aid Action is a continuation of the 1st Cycle.


The total Budget of the Single
RTDI State Aid Action "RESEARCH - CREATE - INNOVATE" is 542.535.722 euro. The Budget of the 2nd Cycle amounts to 200.000.000 euros.
Funding applications for research, technological development and innovation projects to be supported under the 2nd Cycle of the Action may be submitted either by individual enterprises or by groups of enterprises or by business partnerships with research organizations and should be included in one of the following four (4) categories of intervention:

I. Research and Development through Enterprises
II. Business Partnerships with Research Organizations
III. Taking advantage of Research Outcomes
IV. Seal of Excellence for business

Intervention I in the 2nd Cycle extends itsΆ targeting to large enterprises and focuses on the creation of new scientific staff positions.

Interventions II and III remain the same in their targeting, as in the 1st Cycle.

Intervention IV refers to the funding of proposals that passed the EU SME Instrument Horizon 2020 Scoreboard, ie they received the "Seal of Excellence" as highly innovative proposals but were not funded due to the exhaustion of available funds.
